The Interart Cultural Centre from Skopje is among the 150 organisations selected under the latest Culture Moves Europe Residency Hosts call. The selection followed a highly competitive process, with 1,326 applications submitted from 38 countries participating in the Creative Europe programme. Through this project, Interart aims to strengthen international artistic exchange, encourage the creation of new choreographic works, and further position Skopje as a regional centre for contemporary dance production and artistic creation.
Within the framework of this project, Interart Culture Center is opening an international call for 5 professional dance artists to take part in a 40-day contemporary dance residency in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The residency will take place from 22 March to 30 April 2027 and will focus on artistic research, choreographic development, collaboration, and the preparation of a new contemporary dance performance with Skopje Dance Theater.
The residents will work with the mentoring team of Prof. Dr Risima Risimkin, Prof. Adrijana DanchevskaRovchanin, and Dejan Bitrovski, through daily studio work, movement research, choreographic laboratories, individual and collective tasks, knowledge sharing, feedback sessions, and rehearsals.
The call is open to professional dance artists legally residing in one of the Creative Europe countries, outside North Macedonia.
