Films on the Move (CREA-MEDIA-2025-FILMOVE)
The call "Films on the Move" aims to encourage and support the wider distribution of recent non-national European films by incentivizing sales agents and, in particular, cinema distributors to invest in the promotion and appropriate distribution of non-national European films.
Expected results
- Development of pan-European strategies for theatrical release and/or online distribution of non-national European films.
- Increased investment in theatrical release and/or online promotion and distribution of non-national European films, with the aim of expanding audience reach.
- Strengthening the links between the production and distribution sectors, thereby improving the competitive position of non-national European films in the global market.
Description of activities to be funded under the call for proposals:
The activities to be funded include campaigns for pan-European theatrical releases and/or online distribution of eligible European films, coordinated by the film’s sales agent.
Applications should present appropriate strategies to ensure a more sustainable and environmentally friendly film industry, as well as to promote gender equality, inclusiveness, diversity, and representation.
