With a budget of 25 million euros, Culture Moves Europe will support around 7,000 artists, cultural professionals, and host organisations in the period from 2025 to 2028.
Culture Moves Europe is an action funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut. It provides financial support to artists and cultural professionals for travelling and carrying out a project in another country that is part of Creative Europe.
Who can apply?
The call is open to artists and cultural professionals who:
- legally reside in one of the countries participating in the Creative Europe programme, including overseas countries and territories as well as outermost regions;
- are 18 years of age or older;
- are active in one of the following sectors: architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing arts, and visual arts. No specific level of experience is required.
The individual mobility call allows applications from individuals or groups of up to 5 people.
What does the financial support cover?
The grant consists of three main components with pre-defined lump sums:
- travel costs
- daily allowance
- any relevant top-ups or accessibility support for persons with disabilities (or both)
Accessibility support for applicants with disabilities
Accessibility support covers a fixed amount per day for the entire duration of the project. It is intended to help cover additional costs related to accessibility needs, thereby enabling applicants with disabilities to participate in the programme.
In addition, for costs related to a personal assistant or a sign language interpreter that are essential for the project implementation, additional support may be provided upon submission of the appropriate documentation.
When to apply?
The Culture Moves Europe calls operate on a continuous basis, meaning that there are monthly deadlines for submitting applications, with evaluation taking place at the end of each month during the open call period.
This call is open from 1 October 2025 until 30 April 2026, at 23:59 CET (Central European Time).
Applicants whose projects are selected will have six months to complete their project, counting from the date of signing the grant agreement.
